AirAsia Taking Off Europe & India Routes in March 2012 !

AirAsia Taking Off Europe & India Routes in March 2012 !

Why is AirAsia taking off / withdrawing / axing the Europe (London - Gatwick & France - Orly) & India (Mumbai & New Delhi) routes ? True to the rumors that was spread since last year, AirAsia X had officially announced the axing of the mentioned routes in view of the escalating jet fuel and airport tax today.

The axing of routes will start with New Delhi, to be suspended on its last flight on the 22nd March 2012, Paris on the 30th March and London & Mumbai on the 31st March 2012. According to AirAsia's official Facebook page

"All Guests who hold bookings after these dates will be offered an alternative travel option at no additional cost to mitigate the inconvenience caused as a result of these route withdrawals. An e-mail stating options that are available will be send, including a full refund, a reroute to another AirAsia X destination (e.g, in Australia and North Asia), or a move to an alternative carrier where available."

Its pretty obvious that this move had angered majority of the customers who had already purchased their flight tickets particularly during the big sale while some had even paid for their hotels at the mentioned destinations. For you who had already did the bookings, I pray hard for AAX to do full refund or get you an alternative carrier yah !

Looks like gonna be the one and only trip to UK :(

For me, its really disappointing as I'm on the verge of planning my trip to Paris - Orly for next year :( Well at least, I've had experienced flying to London - Stanstead via AAX last year. Looks like that will be last and only chance taking a very economical flight to Europe. As an avid AirAsia fan, I'm very upset over the withdrawing of the Europe route.

No more flying to Paris with AirAsia X

Is there no turning back ? Let hope for the best !!
