Police Confirms Murder of Datuk Sosilawati and 3 Friends


Datuk Sosilawati, 47, her driver Kamaruddin Shamsudin, 44, CIMB Kampung Baru officer Noorhisham Mohammad, 38, and lawyer Ahmad Kamil Abdul Karim, 32 bodies were burnt and their ashes was scattered along a river in Tanjung Sepat, CID Director Datuk Seri Mohd Bakri confirmed the kidnap cum murder case.


The four may have been killed and their bodies burnt in a poultry farm in Tanjung Layang,Morib. Their remains was found last night. Police had detained a Datuk lawyer and 2 other suspects leading to the murder of Datuk Sosilawati.




Sosilawati had prompted one of her daughters that she was carrying a large amount of cash and heading to Banting for 3 days for a land purchase matter. The four has since then missing and was remained mysterious till last night.

Earlier, police cordoned off a site at the poultry farm that was said to belong to one of the suspects, where excavation work was expected to be carried out today.

Police had also recovered several items belonging to the four missing people at the same farm.
Bakri said several suspects including a lawyer with a “Datuk” title and two brothers, who are owners of the farm have been held in connection with Sosilawati’s disappearance since Aug 30.


The Datuk, who owns the farm where the bodies were burnt, was handling a land deal in Penang for Sosilawati. It is learnt that that the land in Penang was bought for RM25mil and was to have been resold at RM200mil.


He said it was information from the public and the press that had led to the swift arrests. “One of the information we received was that one of them was wearing a watch similar to one of the missing persons,” he said.
