Malaysian Born, Penny Wong Heads Australia's Finance Minister
Malaysian will have something or should I briefly say, someone to be proud of. Malaysian born, Sabahan iron lady, Senator Penny Wong has been promoted as Australia's Finance Minister in the Gillard Labor Government.
Penny Wong was keen to move from the climate change portfolio, following her failure to have parliament’s upper house or the Senate to approve the government carbon pollution reduction scheme.
Senator Penny Wong, a Kota Kinabalu native,born on 11th November 1968 and now takes over the finance portfolio left vacant by the high-profile Lindsay Tanner after retiring from federal politics in the Aug 31 election.
